On Wednesday of this week, KOSTAL Ireland received the "Supplier Excellence Gold Award" from Jaguar Land Rover for its outstanding delivery and quality performance in 2017.

Each year, Jaguar Land Rover recognise extraordinary performance by the supply chain in their Annual Supplier Excellence Awards. We are very pleased to announce that, amongst more than 3,500 suppliers, KOSTAL Ireland has been recognised, and was one of only 3 suppliers this year to be given a Gold award.
Mr. Andreas Kostal took the opportunity to thank all those who have contributed to KOSTAL being honoured by Jaguar Land Rover for its performance. In global competition, this was only possible thanks to the great engagement of all employees in Ireland, and the close cooperation between Irish employees and the international KOSTAL Community.
"I regard this prize as an award and recognition for the work of all employees, and would like to thank everyone who contributed to it," emphasised Mr Kostal. "At the same time, I wish us all that we will continue to inspire our customers with our services in the future."
Amongst other products, KOSTAL Ireland manufacture Door Zone Modules for every Jaguar Land Rover vehicle in series production (usually delivering 4 per car) and because of this excellent performance, KOI have (along with KOSTAL China) recently been nominated for the next generation business with production starting in 2019. KOI also provides the Rain and Light Sensor for all Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.
Walkthrough and review of the production area followed the presentation in the canteen. The group reviewed the JLR DZM production line followed by the MLB Evo Door Control Unit backend production line. Very positive feedback was received on the overall presentation of the shopfloor, and on the technologies that were presented. The Automatic Indoor Vehicles (for raw material delivery), and automatic material ordering were particular highlights for the group. The high speed automation on backend MLB Evo DCU, and comparisons with the current DZM line were demonstrated.
