On 24 October 2023, KOSTAL Automobil Elektrik (KAE) inaugurated its newest production facility in Querétaro, Mexico. The KOSTAL Electro Mobility Mexicana (KEMM) plant is the KOSTAL Group's third facility in the state of Querétaro.
The new plant will create 750 new jobs and produce On-board Chargers (OBC) for KOSTAL's OEM customers in the USA. Among the 200 participants who took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were the Management of the KOSTAL Group and North America. State and local officials as well as community leaders, customer representatives, company executives and employees attended to celebrate the company's grand opening.
